Item people are enjoying life at the moment after
winning two Awards of Excellence in the 2005 Communicators in Business
(CiB) awards.
The national competition attracts hundreds of
entries in classes ranging across print, electronic media and communication
skills.
This year Item was recognised for Vodafone life!,
the global employee magazine it writes and designs for the world’s
largest mobile telecommunications company.
The magazine won Awards of Excellence in the
hotly-contested category for internal magazines published up to
six times a year, and in the contest for the ‘best multilingual
communication’.
The CiB judges said of the publication: “It
is hugely readable in a neat format, creatively designed, well
structured and has a good mix of corporate and lighter stories
supported by strong imagery…in summary, a well-conceived
and well-delivered magazine that’s packed with value.”
The overall category winners will be announced
at the CiB annual conference awards dinner in Manchester on 27
May.
