The award for Europe’s best multilanguage
publication was presented to Item client Hydro in the prestigious
surroundings of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
The accolade was given to Hi! magazine in the
2004 Grand Prix awards run across 13 European countries by the
Federation of European Industrial Editors Associations (FEIEA).
Hi! is produced in seven languages for 36,000 employees of the
global oil, energy and aluminium company, which is headquartered
in Oslo.
The award was presented at Item’s first
industry event of 2005, held at the RIBA, by Suzanne Peck, Vice-Chairman-elect
of UK professional body Communicators in Business (CiB), which
is a member of FEIEA. She said that the judges praised the magazine’s
‘imaginative writing, pace and open layout’, along
with its ‘good global perspective’ and ‘open,
honest debate as well as recognition of opposing views’
