The Item-Hydro team behind Hi! magazine, produced
for the global oil, energy and aluminium company, is celebrating
after securing a prestigious double.
For the second year running, Hi! (Hydro Inside)
has fought off fierce competition from across Europe to be voted
best multilanguage magazine in the FEIEA (Federation of European
Industrial Editors Associations) awards.
The magazine is written, designed and produced
by Item and Hydro’s in-house team, based in Oslo. Translated
into nine languages, it goes to 36,000 employees worldwide.
The FEIEA judges felt that Hi! “dealt superbly with the demands
of accommodating so many different languages, while maintaining
an imaginative and visually appealing design”.
Tone Dahle, Hydro’s Head of Employee Communication,
says: “Being named best European multilanguage magazine once
was wonderful. To win such a significant accolade for the second
year running is amazing and a real credit to the joint Hydro-Item
team that produces each issue.
“It shows clearly that, as we've evolved
the magazine over the last 12 months, we have maintained the highest
standards of editorial and design excellence.”
Hi! has also received UK recognition since it
was created in 2003, winning two classes at the Communicators in
Business awards last year.
Alison Crossley, Item’s Managing Director,
says: “We’re proud of all the multilanguage magazines
we produce with our clients.
“The fact that Hi! has been recognised
again by our European industry peers, who form the judging panel,
is the icing on the cake for our entire team.”
