Item and Vodafone are celebrating following a
great night at the 2007 Communicators in Business (CiB) Awards
Dinner in Newcastle.
The Vodafone Global Orientation Pack (Welcome
to Vodafone) was named best multilingual communication at the Oscars-style
ceremony, beating six other finalists in this category.
Written
and designed by Item, 'Welcome to Vodafone' was described by the
judges as an 'inspiring and stunning production'.
Vanessa Curran,
Acting Head of Group Internal Communications at Vodafone, says:
'The award is a tribute to great teamwork between Vodafone and
Item, which resulted in a communication that inspires and informs
people joining Vodafone in all our global markets.
'As part of
our induction communications, the pack is highly regarded by our
internal customers in HR. It's very rewarding now to have this
work recognised by our peers.'
Alison Crossley, Item's Managing
Director, adds: 'Winning a CiB Award is the icing on the cake of
any project, and this one is a credit to the professionalism of
Vodafone's internal comms team and to our design and writing skills.'
Meanwhile Item client Hydro was also recognised,
winning an Award of Excellence for Hi! in the 'internal magazines'
category.
