Arts Council England has a ‘Best Intranet’ industry award for its One Place intranet in this year’s Communicators in Business awards.
One Place was launched in November 07 and includes daily news – supplied by a news team at the Item Group - an image bank, an organisation-wide calendar and collaborative workspaces. Head of Internal Communications, Shiona Hastie, collected the prize at the awards event in Brighton from BBC newsreader Huw Edwards.
The judges said One Place was ‘an attractive, easy to use and highly functional site’. The site beat entries from other organisations including Tube Lines, AXA UK, the NHS and The Sage Group.
‘I was really shocked when they announced that the Arts Council had won the class award for best intranet and really pleased that it’s been recognised as a useful comms tool,’ said Shiona.
The Communicators in Business Awards attracted more than 800 entries this year and cover the best in print and online communications.
